ESOL Notes - Relaunch and Resurrection

My last experience with blogging came to very little, but I've decided that now is a good time to give it another try. There are several reasons why - the most important being that I am no longer in graduate school and am now able to update this site in a more timely manner than I previously could have done. Also, we now have several volunteer tutors and participants in the Conversation Partners program who may benefit. These are individuals without whom we could not exist, and I need a quick, reliable way to put adult ESL information in front of them. Since most of them have Internet access, I knew I couldn't neglect blogging as a potential communication tool.

I'll begin by re-posting the links to the two textbook series I often find on Amazon or Alibris. Both of these have been practical, useful, and I wouldn't be without them. As you receive your invitations, please feel free to add or comment on these - or on anything else you see here. For now, I'm going to keep the permissions on the site fairly open, so almost anyone should be able to post and comment.

Thanks for checking out the site - and for all you do that means so much to adult learners in Tuscaloosa!

Most of our really good oral interactive lessons have come form this resource.

I also just recently began using this one...

Five Minute Activities by Penny Ur and Andrew Wright

A little heavy on the British English, but our volunteers love it!
